Project : Didgah Hamrah

What it was

Didgah Hamrah was Iran’s first B2B enterprise office-automation mobile application, built at Chargoon, an Iranian enterprise software company where Khashayar worked from 2009 to 2016. The app gave managers real-time, easy access to their company’s management information system (MIS) from anywhere, at any time, on a mobile phone or tablet. Alongside office-automation access, Didgah Hamrah also carried the employee self-service (ESS) features of Chargoon’s timekeeper software, so employees could use the same app for self-service tasks. It ran on top of organizations that had already implemented Chargoon’s Didgah Total Solution, and it was designed to speed up business workflows and response time inside those organizations. The product is documented at http://www.chargoon.com/didgah_hamrah/.

What I led

Khashayar led Didgah Hamrah as Mobile Product Manager at Chargoon, a role he held from June 2013 to November 2016. In that role he shaped the product roadmap for Iran’s first enterprise mobile software and directed the API implementations that connected the mobile app to Chargoon’s underlying MIS and timekeeper systems. The project itself ran from June 2013 to May 2016. This was product management work: defining the value proposition, shaping what the app did and for whom, and directing the technical integrations needed to deliver it, rather than hands-on coding.

The outcome

Didgah Hamrah created a new revenue stream for Chargoon by delivering a game-changing value proposition as a mobile product. Over the two years following its launch, it contributed to an 8 percent increase in the company’s sales. Because the app gave managers real-time mobile access to their MIS, it also raised top-level management engagement inside client firms by an average of 10 percent over a year and a half. As the country’s first B2B office-automation mobile app, Didgah Hamrah was a proof point for Khashayar’s product management work at Chargoon, alongside his later focus on enterprise implementation delivery.
